Nutrition Coach/Dietitian

POSITION SUMMARY
The Nutrition Coach will oversee the nutritional well-being of their clients. They will conduct nutrition assessments and create diet plans. They will evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and use metrics to implement data-driven improvements. The Nutrition Coach will actively keep up with the latest nutritional research, integrating new findings into diet plans and nutritional services. They provide nutrition education to members. The Nutrition Coach will collaborate with physicians, therapists and nurses, when needed, in order to tailor dietary services and improve patient outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Speaking to members to learn about their health goals and dietary needs, preferences, and restrictions.
  2. Developing nutrition plans for members.
  3. Compiling information and tracking member progress towards their health goals.
  4. Keeping informed about the latest discoveries in nutrition.
  5. Speaking to groups to promote healthy eating habits and proper nutrition.
  6. Provide nutrition education and counseling for members and participants in our evidence-based and other health initiatives.
  7. Review food logs.
  8. Take and record weigh-ins.
  9. Use platforms such as Zoom to conduct virtual meetings.
  10. Ensures a strong focus on character development and diversity, equity and inclusion throughout programming.
  11. Reports damaged equipment or safety hazards promptly.
  12. Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Rock River Valley.

1 Position
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA
Tuesday 9:30-10:30am and 5:15-6:15pm
Friday 9:30-10:30am
Hours may vary and flexibility is required
Pay range: $16.00-$20.00 per hour, dependent on certification/education
