Stingrays Assistant Swim Team Coach

Under the direction of the Senior Head Swim Team Coach and Aquatics Director, the Assistant Swim Team Coach is responsible for providing instruction and workouts that will prepare participants for their individual needs.

  1. Design and plan swim instruction and workout curriculums for designated levels.
  2. Provide feedback to participants to facilitate improvement.
  3. Enforce aquatic rules and policies by maintaining constant surveillance of class participants.
  4. Record and maintain attendance records.
  5. Set up facility or equipment, store equipment, and secure facility upon completion of class.
  6. Attend staff meetings.
  7. Report any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor or the person responsible for those items at your site.
  8. Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to managing visitors and guests at our facilities.
  9. Report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
  1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with prior experience with competitive swimming. 
  2. Must be proficient in swimming and safety skills.
  3. Must have ability to motivate and educate participants.
  4. Must be mentally capable to handle dangerous situations in order to assure the safety of all swimmers. 
  5. Complete all child abuse prevention training as required.
  6. Complete all Bloodbourne pathogen training as required.
  7. Complete all CPR-Pro and First Aid training as required.
  8. Complete Priciples of Safety for Swim Coaches training as required
  9. Level 1 Foundation of Coaching Certification required or needs to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Part-time hourly
Weekdays, 5:00-8:00 pm 
Weekend swim meets as required
