YOUR IMPACT
The EGYM Coach supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position interacts with new and existing members to onboard them to the EGYM Circuit and oversees the circuit. The EGYM Coach creates a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of all backgrounds and abilities.
EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides EGYM onboarding to members and helps them with the technology involved with the machines and the mobile app.
- Cleans EGYM equipment according to the schedule or as requested by supervisor.
- Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals through the use of the EGYM Circuit.
- Maintains gym floor by re-racking weights and stocking towels/cleaner as needed.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members.
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures. Responds to emergency situations.
- Attends all staff meetings.
- Ensures a strong focus on character development and diversity, equity and inclusion throughout programming.
- Reports damaged equipment or safety hazards promptly.
- Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Rock River Valley.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION: 4 Positions
Positions 1-4: Northeast Family YMCA
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Monday - Sunday - hours vary
$15.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Fitness certification (personal trainer, group exercise instructor, etc.) preferred
- Comfortable with fitness related technology
- CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days
- Current Praesidium Academy trainings
